Happy punk/pop punk/indie. Sort of like Lemuria, but happier.

Hop Along, Queen Ansleis - Freshman Year, Wretches
Indie female singer-songwriter. You're missing out if you don't already know about this.
What Price, Wonderland? - What Price, Wonderland/syn*error Tour Split
What Price, Wonderland? is kinda shaky older sounding emo punk, syn*error is more melodic 90's emo/screamo. Syn*error has great build ups, and I personally like them more.
My Head In Clouds - Demo
Real catchy emo. Sorta chaotic. I'm into it. Donut Run is such a good song.
Aerosols - 1st, Medicine, 3rd
Hardcore powerviolence. On Youth Attack Records, which I've been getting real into the bands on that label lately.
Spread Sheets - Demo
Twinkly emo with some awesome riffs, bro. In the folder, there's two versions of Chicks And Shit. I still haven't decided which one I like better.
1994/Spires - Split
This is great. Get it. I don't know if I've upped 1994 yet, if not I will, but they're mathy, post-rock, skramz influenced.
Sabertooth Zombie - And Your Fathers Are Dead In The Ground

Flipper - Blow'n Chunks and Love Canal/Ha Ha Ha 7"
Takin it back to the old school. Influential in the 80's, featured in American Hardcore, etc. If you haven't heard Ha Ha Ha, you are living under a rock. I'll have more of this up later when I am not so lazy.
Dangers - Messy, Isn't It? and Anger
Best pissed hardcore I've heard in a while. Anger is better than Messy, Isn't It, but it's still pissedtacular.

Ape Up! - Demo and Newer songs
I keep forgetting to add this. Ex members of Algernon Cadwallader. Like Snowing, Grown Ups, and all that junk. Rudich Ranch is hilarious. Reminds me of the good ol Dude Ranch. They'd totally get along.

Cursed - Blackout At Sunrise EP, I, II, III
I don't know why I haven't posted this yet. Pissed hardcore punk sludge.

Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) - What It Takes To Move Forward
Midwest emo/indie. Soft spot for the 90's.
Touche Amore - ...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse
Screamo/hardcore punk. Melodic. Similar to Lewd Acts, Trash Talk, etc. Honest Sleep and Cadence are my favorite tracks. The build up toward the end in Honest Sleep, combined with just his screaming, ahhhhhhhh so good. I AM MARCHING TO THE BEAT OF A DEAD HORSE.
Tiny Hawks - Fingers Become Bridges
Mathy, post-hardcore. They broke up not too long ago. Why do all the good bands break up?
Street Smart Cyclist - Demo and Lint Traps
This was before Snowing, no longer a band, which is quite sad. Probably in my top three favorite bands right now. Twinkly emo. Lint Traps is all acoustic, but very heartfelt and pleasing to the ears.
Snowing - Fuck Your Emotional Bullshit and Tour Tape
One of the greatest twinkly bands ever. Ex members of Street Smart Cyclist and Boy Problems. You will love this.

The Exploration - Basement Demo
Mainly emo/indie, twinkly at times. He yells the lyrics like poetry. It's pretty different and neat.

Moss Icon - Discography
This is part one of three for the discography. I haven't had the chance to listen too much, but what I hear is appealing. Old school emotive hardcore at it's finest. Similar to Indian Summer.
If you want the rest of the discography, let me know.

Pirouette - Thinking In Subtitles and Light Red Pez/Acrobat
If you download anything on this blog, make it Thinking In Subtitles. Indie, noodly, fun. His voice is so different, I think that's why I love it. Light Red Pez/Acrobat split is all mostly acoustic, but still good.
Monument - 3 New Songs
Emo indie. Sounds like American Football and Braid. Love the vocals and guitar.
Midwest Pen Pals - Inside Jokes EP
Twinkly emo with some screaming occasionally. Broken up. Sadface.
Life At These Speeds - To Your Health
If you don't have this already, DOWNLOAD. Definitely a favorite lately. True emo. They're a little like Sinaloa, which is another favorite of mine. The build up in Weathered Days is so great.
Kickball - Everything Is A Miracle, Nothing Is A Miracle, Everything Is
Twinkly indie math rock. This is one of their better albums and it's been blaring through my speakers lately.
Howard The Duck - 2009 Demo
Influenced heavily by 90's emo/indie. Sounds a whole lot like Football, etc.
How Do We Jump This High - Deep Stationary
Post-hardcore, pop punk. Ex members of Get Bent. If you like Latterman, you will love this.
Grown Ups - Songs
So I guess I should get something straight for all of you new to this genre. I'm going to start labeling most of the bands on my new posts as "twinkly." What this means is mathy, indie junk, like Algernon Cadwallader sorta. Best examples I can describe to relate would be Snowing, American Football, or Street Smart Cyclist. I'll post all that too, don't worry.
Anyway, this band is twinkly emo pop punk. Definitely recommend.
Get Bent - Demo
More punk than pop on the pop punk spectrum. Comparable to Thousandaires, and Yo Man Go, which I will be posting soon!
Indian Summer - Discography
Old school emo. You could say they influenced a lot of good bands out today. They're either on the soft or loud spectrum with certain chaotic parts, then calm whispered lyrics and delicate strumming. Get it.

Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On
Indie, older emo. This is their first album, and boy is it good. These songs build and build and put you in a trance. Makes me get lost in thought.
Pheramones- Amelia Split
Fun, happy keyboardcore. Makes you wanna dance around and sing along, just a little.
Arroyo - Individuum & Massen
Epic post-rock skramz. "It starts out with a 7 minute long promotional speech for 1972 presidential candidate George McGovern, until the singer bursts out in some heavy screaming comparable to Le Pré Où Je Suis Mort, but in german instead of french. All accompanied by awesome post-rock instrumentation with a lot of synth." Only two songs, but adds up to over half an hour. Highly recommend.
